Goehring & Rozencwajg Commodity Webinar

Commodities versus stocks
Commodities are historically undervalued

If you are speculating in the commodity markets than I highly suggest you take an hour and listen to the recent Goehring & Rozencwajg introduction webinar.

In the webinar the principals, Leigh Goehring and Adam Rozencwajg, discuss their investment philosophy regarding commodities, how they allocate capital to various investment themes, and why they are currently bullish on various commodity markets.

In addition, if you are speculating in the resource markets the firm publishes a huge amount of research on various commodity fundamentals that I have not seen elsewhere. The information is timely and is regularly published at their site.

A couple of their current themes are focused on energy and specifically oil. In their analysis they discuss the full impact of the lack of investment, due to recent low oil prices, tht will eventually cause oil supply to be constricted.

However, even more powerful and insightful, is their analysis of demand. They point out the almost constant underestimation of oil demand growth and especially demand growth from emerging markets.

Especially interesting is the analysis of the “S” curve that countries enter as it relates to energy consumption. As countries per capita GDP rises to a certain level the intensity of energy consumption, particularity oil, increases at an extremely high rate.

The bullish call is that the most humans in history are now simultaneously entering this higher energy growth phase than at any time in history.

G&R are also bullish on copper and uranium and explain why in the webinar.
