The copy below is from an email from a equity crowd funding site where I get potential ideas for investing in startup like companies. I read the Jason Calacanis book “Angel” and it got me started on equity crowdfunding. I have been doing it for a couple of years and have become involved in around twenty deals. Check out his video where he talks about angel investing and equity crowdfunding. If you are look to diversify your investments away from traditional type investments than consider equipty crowdfunding and angel investing.

Jason Calacanis, an industry leading entrepreneur, angel investor, author and blogger, recently spoke about the revolution to angel investing being brought by investment platforms like Republic.

Jason started his angel investing career at Sequoia Capital. He’s invested in several unicorns, including Calm, UBER, and Robinhood. He’s one of the most prominent and best performing angels in the world and author of the Angel: How to Invest in Technology Startups.

At Upfront Summit, Jason explained how angel syndicates and companies like Republic are “revolutionizing the risk taking.” According to Jason, recent policy changes started this revolution by providing new pathways for investors to spread their funds and place early, smaller bets on startups. Not only did this drive larger overall investment numbers, but it created a better model for everyone involved—the founders, who benefit from the investment, and the investors, who can take less risk. In Jason’s words, “Many hands make for light work.”
