Below you will find a chart of the number of background checks, for potential firearms buyers, conducted for each month going back to 1998. Note: background checks do not necessarily mean a gun sale but they are a good indicator in my view.
You will note that in March 2020 we had the highest number of background checks, probably because of covid-19 fears. Now with all the rioting and lawlessness I expect the June numbers will be out of the park.
2020 may be the biggest year for gun and ammo sales ever as people get nervous with all the lawlessness they see on TV and the realization that the police are unable and in many cases unwilling to protect people and property.
Throw in the fact this is an election year and the Dems have a good shot of winning the Presidency and Senate which could foster fears of stepped up gun control legislation. Buy them while you can.
